1. About this notice

This notice explains how Inscend AI Ltd. ("Inscend", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, handles personal information collected through the AI Readiness Assessment. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Law 25 where it applies, and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

2. Personal information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, work email address, company name, and industry, together with your answers to the assessment questions.

  • Information the assessment generates: your readiness scores (overall and by capability), your readiness level, the focus area you are routed to, and the report produced for you.

  • Information collected automatically: how you reached the assessment (for example, the campaign or link), a session identifier used to run the assessment, and basic technical information such as browser type.

  • Your communication preferences, including whether you have asked to receive our newsletter or follow-up emails.

The assessment is intended for individuals acting in a business capacity and is not directed to children.

3. How we use your information, and your consent

We use your information to generate your report and email it to you; to respond to you and, where you have given express consent, to send follow-up emails about your results and our services; to understand and improve the assessment; and to meet our legal obligations.

We collect and use your information with your consent. Where the law requires, we ask for your express, specific consent for each purpose, and you may withdraw it at any time, which may limit our ability to provide certain things. Marketing emails are sent only with your express consent and always include a way to unsubscribe.

4. Automated processing

Your scores, readiness level, and recommended focus area are produced automatically by our assessment model, based on the answers you provide, and the report wording is generated with the assistance of AI. These outputs are intended as guidance, not a decision that affects your legal rights or your access to a service. If you would like to understand how a result was reached, or to have it reviewed by a person, contact us using the details below and we will be glad to help.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the assessment: for hosting and security, for delivering your report by email, for storing contact records so that we can follow up, and for scheduling sessions. These providers process your information only on our instructions and under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

6. Where your information is processed

Our application and primary data storage are located in Canada. Some of our service providers operate in other countries, including the United States, and your information may be processed there under appropriate contractual safeguards. If you are in Quebec, this means your information may be communicated outside the province.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, generally up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, after which we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will do so unless we are required by law to keep it.

8. Keeping your information secure

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. If a privacy incident occurs that presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate authority as required by law.

9. Cookies

The assessment uses a session identifier that is necessary to run it. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy;

  • ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • ask us to delete it or, where applicable, de-index it;

  • ask us to provide it in a portable format;

  • withdraw your consent, including unsubscribing from our emails; and

  • ask about, or object to, automated processing of your information.

To exercise any of these, contact us below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, if you are in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
